The Cellar Club Fact Sheet

OVERVIEW: South Florida's premier private wine society, The Cellar Club at The Biltmore is dedicated to the appreciation of fine wine and food. To that end, its more than 1,300 members are presented with exclusive monthly epicurean events and are accorded special privileges throughout The Biltmore. Launched in February 1995 as a club for very focused oenophiles interested in the studious pursuit of greater wine knowledge, it has evolved into a more socially-oriented organization devoted to the exploration and enjoyment of the world’s viniculture and food ways. As such, The Cellar Club has helped maintain The Biltmore’s historic role as an epicenter of local social life and has become an important attraction for hotel guests who chose to upgrade and enjoy certain privileges during their stay.

PROGRAMS/EVENTS: Taking advantage of The Biltmore’s expansive facilities – majestic ballrooms to intimate bôites – and the expertise of its staff, The Cellar Club presents an ambitious calendar of events including wine tastings, seminars, black-tie gala winemaker dinners and its signature monthly interactive luncheons. The Cellar Club also is a driving force behind the annual The Biltmore International Food & Wine Weekend. Having founded it in 1997, the club continues to organize all the food and beverage aspects of the three-day festival.

Interactive Luncheons – featured monthly with celebrated guest chefs leading more than 160 guests in the preparation and enjoyment of an appetizer and entrée of a three-course menu. Truly unique, participatory, and as much fun as they are instructive, The Cellar Club’s Interactive Luncheons are eagerly anticipated socializing and networking events.

The Biltmore International Food and Wine Weekend – ranked one of the nation’s Top 10 wine festivals by Wine Spectator, this three-day annual event hosted by The Cellar Club at The Biltmore, has, for eight consecutive years, marked South Florida’s passionate dedication to fine food, wine, and charitable causes. The spectacular event has successfully raised an excess of $5 million for various charities, an astounding accomplishment of good will and unwavering allegiance.

BILTMORE BARS: The Biltmore’s unsurpassed wine cellar boasts 350 virtuous offerings by the bottle, and 100 exceptional pours by-the-glass; a unique opportunity for hedonists and aficionados alike.
