Patty & Miles McGrane
…On Living The Biltmore Lifestyle

Patty & Miles McGrane, President of McGrane, Nosich &
Ganz, P.A., former President of the Florida Bar Association
and Judicial Qualifications Commission. |
When did you become Cellar Club/Premier Members?
We became Cellar Club Members approximately 10 years ago. We have
become Premier Members just this past year.
How has the Cellar Club/Premier Membership enhanced your
personal and professional lives?
The Cellar Club/Premier Membership has almost become an extension
of our personal and professional lives. Patty works out at the Biltmore
on a daily basis and loves the juice bar at Cascade. We brought
the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar to the Biltmore for its
meeting in April and hope to bring The Florida Bar Foundation to
the Biltmore in August.
Do you partake in the wine programs as well?
Yes, and thanks to the organized food and wine events, we have had
the opportunity to meet wonderful people, with the same interests
as ours, who we would not have otherwise met. But, the Premier Membership
is so much more than a wine tasting club.
It sounds like the Biltmore has become your country—or
city—club.
Actually, we recently gave up our membership to a local country
club and now use the Biltmore, through our Premier Membership, as
our one and only club here in South Florida. The fantastic dining
opportunities, plus the golf and fitness center provide us everything
we had, and more. The Biltmore truly is iconic and has become a
trademark for the City. The residents of Coral Gables only need
to turn toward this landmark to discover that everything is here
to complete their lifestyles, in one place.
Most members share a passion for travel, wine, fitness,
dining—the good life. How about you?
We have traveled extensively in the US (we have a home in Park City,
Utah as well.) We recently discovered Florence, Italy, and are on
our way to South Africa. We also recently took a trip to Napa Valley
where we attended specially prepared lunches with wine pairings
at the Far Niente and Silver Oak vineyards. The trip was capped
off with a marvelous meal at The French Laundry.
What would you say is your one true-shared passion?
Our children.
What is the perfect Sunday?
Sleeping late, having a late breakfast and reading the New York
Times at Cascade, adjacent to the Biltmore swimming pool.
