 Where were you born and raised?
Ernie was born in Cuba and emigrated to the U.S. at the age of two and raised in Miami. Luly was born and raised in Miami.
Do you speak any other languages?
We are both fluent in Spanish.
What do you love most about your career(s)?
We are both in the health care field; Luly is a Vaccine Specialist at Sanofi Pasteur and Ernie is an Oncology/Gene Diagnostic Sales Specialist at Agendia. We are truly blessed to know that what we do can save lives and positively impact the quality of life for people.
What are some of your favorite travel destinations when you want to "get away?"
If we want to eat great food and drink wine, it's Paris, France. If we are going to completely disconnect from everything, then it's the Caribbean!
If the two of you were stranded on a desert island and could only take three things, what would they be and why?
Bear Grylls to light us a fire, catch and cook our food, Les Stroud "Survivorman" to build us a sailboat, Christopher Columbus to sail us home.
What is your favorite cuisine or food item?
Sushi is always our first choice but who can say no to a delicious hamburger by the Biltmore pool.
What would you say is your one true passion in your lives?
Spending time with our seven nieces and nephews. We love traveling with them to New York and to Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights. What can we say; they keep us young at heart.
What do you love most about Miami?
We love that Miami is an amazing melting pot. The diversity in cultures can be seen in all corners of this wonderful city!
What has been the most memorable experience (so far!) that you have had at the Biltmore?
We have had so many memorable experiences; it would be difficult to single one out. We enjoy good times at the monthly wine tastings and the annual holiday party. On lazy Saturday afternoons we also love entertaining friends at the Cascade Poolside Bar and Grill. Our experiences have been so special that we are also looking forward to hosting some of our wedding events at the Biltmore this October!
How has the Premier Membership enhanced your personal & professional life?
The Premier Membership has more than exceeded our expectations! We regularly get together with friends and business associates to enjoy the food and wine at the Biltmore. We love the Fitness Center and have made it a very routine part of our lives. The Spa is an amazing and serene place to relax.
