Chef de Cuisine
I was eight years old the first time I cooked a meal and knew, at that moment, that it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! Being the daughter of a butcher and having an excellent chef for a mother, my greatest influences naturally started at home. Becoming an apprentice to my father while also assisting my mother with her care for great ingredients, flavors and techniques gave me all the basics I would need to begin my own journey as a chef.
This journey would eventually lead me to the Middle East, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and to Brazil where I opened four restaurants in a ten year span. I then worked as Chef de Cuisine for Imlee Indian Bistro for seven years before launching forward in Italian cuisine as Chef de Cuisine of Fontana restaurant at the Biltmore Resort for the past two years. Since that awe-inspiring day in my childhood I have continued to practice, savor and explore the wonderful art of cuisine. |
