Twenty-one years ago, Tim and Nina Zagat, two lawyers intimately familiar with New York’s restaurant scene, informally assembled the opinions of 200 of their acquaintances into a self-published survey of local establishments. Today Zagat gathers and generates its trademark ratings and reviews on the opinions of individuals who experienced what an establishment has to offer. It bases its ratings on a 30-point scale that includes various qualities per category for each restaurant; Food, Décor and Service; 16-19 good to very good,
20-25 very good to excellent, 26-30 extraordinary to perfection.

For 2012, Zagat again recognized Palme d’Or as Miami’s top-rated restaurant with an combined rating of 27-plus, coupled with Fontana at 26 overall. Our wine list was Zagat’s top-rated as well. Biltmore dining is amongst the finest Miami has to offer, but the best is yet to come…. stay tuned!
